Milwaukee Backyard Patio and Wall Installation Services

Backyard Patios and Wall Construction Services Throughout Southeast Wisconsin

Terraced brick patioFew things define a back yard landscape quite the way patios and walls do. Working with brick, block and stone, Brennan Landscaping’s Milwaukee landscapers create beautiful outdoor gathering spaces using time-proven construction techniques and high-quality materials.

We specialize in brick and stone patios, as we feel these have much greater aesthetic appeal and add considerably more value to a home than the simple poured concrete patio. Also, many of the patios we build have an integrated retaining wall or a wall bordering a part of the patio. In our opinion, it would be a glaring mismatch to have a beautiful stone perimeter wall abutting a poured concrete patio.

Basketweave: An ideal choice for creating the feel of an old cottage and one which works exceptionally well with other patterns. Herringbone: The geometric shape of this pattern has a lot of visual energy and creates exceptionally strong patios, walkways and walls. Running bond: One of the strongest patterns, the running bond wastes very little brick and is relatively easy to lay. Used for both patios and brick walls.

Aesthetically Pleasing and Durable Wall Construction: Another Specialty of Brennan Landscaping

Creating beautiful, long lasting walls involves equal amounts of art and engineering. Brennan Landscaping has extensive experience building brick and stone walls that look fantastic and are also able to stand the test of time. Not only does a wall define space in your landscape, it can also provide an additional seating area (depending on height, of course) or a convenient place to rest a serving tray or drink.

Whether you are interested in a free-standing wall to enclose all or part of a patio, or a retaining wall for an elevated patio or planting area, our Milwaukee landscape designers will work with you to ensure the finished work exceeds your expectations. With retaining walls around elevated planting areas, we pay particular attention to the grade of your site to ensure the wall will not be compromised by water runoff.

A Beautiful And Lasting Alternative To Wood Decks And Fences

Here's a slate patio and stone fire ring Brennan Landscaping built in the back of a Waukesha home.

We have nothing against wooden decks and fences. We have built plenty ourselves. Given a choice, however, we'd recommend stone or brick any day.

While it's true brick and stone structures cost more than those built with wood and synthetic wood, they also last far longer. How long? Well, there are brick patios built by the Romans that are still intact.

Unlike wood and synthetic wood, brick and stone will never splinter, fade, get eaten by insects, or go out of fashion. Consider, too, stone and brick needs virtually no maintenance. Cleaning it off with a power washer once a year is about as much you’ll ever have to do.

The value of having a solid structure goes beyond the durability and maintenance factors, though. From an aesthetic perspective, stone and brick structures simply look better.

Installing A Patio Enhances the Value of Your Home and Your Enjoyment of It

While kitchen and bath remodels consistently top the lists for return on investment, it may surprise you to learn a well-constructed patio can return as much as 60% of your investment. More importantly, though, you’ll enjoy your home more while you’re living in it. When it comes time to sell, a nice patio is always a great selling point and may well make your home stand out above another similar home.
