Stone Entry Pillars for Delafield Home
Stone entry pillars like these used to be common landscape structures on residential lots across the US. Over the years, many have fallen into such disrepair that the owners simply knocked them down and planted over where they once stood. This homeowner, however, was looking to restore the original look of the yard, which had two stone pillars marking the entrance to a winding brick sidewalk.
In addition to building the pillars you see here, Brennan Landscaping also installed a landscaped area to the side of each pillar. Besides adding some color and texture to the front yard, these landscaped areas serve to direct anyone entering the property to use the sidewalk.
Although you cannot see it in this photo, these pillars also have built-in, low voltage landscape lighting to illuminate the entrance to the house--a practical feature that also looks spectacular at night.
